New Years has always been kind of a damp squid imo. Sorry for this absolutely steaming take: but the more you hype a night the worse it is. Super unpopular opinion. Never heard that one before.
Anyway I’ve spent every single New Years in watching bad films or w/e, until New Years 2014 where I listened to the countdown to midnight whilst holding my friend’s hair in the gutter of Sugar Hut. Memories.
So this year, my boyfriend and I decided to go out. I wanted to go somewhere I could wear a dress and makeup (since Christmas had rendered me makeup and bra-less for approx a month and I felt like a troll). We decided on Maison’s in Chelmsford. Anyway it was totally fine, we left at like 1:30am. Totally could have stayed in and had a takeaway instead but at least we did someTHING.
And the best part is I got to wear my new boots!
(PSA: these photos may look cute but my boyfriend sat on the toilet lid to take them and smashed it under his own weight. The next photos that aren’t featured on my blog are of me CRYING WITH LAUGHTER.)
Dress: All Saints £49 (in the sale woo wooo).
Boots: Carvela/Kurt Geiger £180.
Hoops: Melissa Odabash £40 (I spent sooo long looking for rose gold hoops that had actual gold coating I tell ya).
Bag: Chanel (in Small rather than my usual Medium size).
Nails: sorry guys I know no one cares about my nails but honestly OPI ‘Barefoot in Barcelona’ is the best nude out there.
